Jhamsikhel, Jawalakhel, Pulchowk – Some have taken to calling this area “the restaurant lane”. With a large variety of cuisines available, both local and international, it is indeed living up to that billing. Located in the proximity of fine residential areas, business has been brisk and with the potential to grow even further, it is giving Thamel, the current food haven, a run for its money. The Nepali Times welcomes you to JHAMEL.

You’re missing a few on this list:

    1. Cafe Columbus which is situated right next door to Cinnamon and has been operating since August 2009. Contact 9841765109

    2. Lakhpa’s Kitchen which is in the lane opposite the Roadhouse Cafe, right next door to Alpha School. Contact: Manandhar Store (Opp. St. Mary’s)

It would be great if you could include these two in the blog.

Interesting idea for a blog! And the photos are beautiful. But can we have some real information about the places listed as well as the arty shots? I may be a foreigner i Kathmandu, but that doesn’t mean I’m more interested in the décor than the food. As surprising as that might sound.
